CHAT GPT: WHAT IS IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

I’m sure you have heard of it; in fact the business world is a buzz of excitement and caution with the latest innovative technology addition to our lives. What is it? It’s defined as an Artificial Intelligence language model, developed by OpenAI, and the initials GPT stand for Generative Pre-trained Transformer.

Why is everyone talking about it? The model is human interactive and can return a human like response when asked questions as well as producing deep factual and accurate content. It has the power to replace the fact-finding mission of our job roles and reduce them down by 70% to improved efficiencies. It also has the power to calculate and compute complex sums and the ability to return possible outcomes, solutions, and alternatives. The business world has already given the model many tasks to solve, and it reportedly is passing exams at the highest levels and providing increased engagement and more content all round.

So, did I try it? YES! I gave ChatGPT a go just to see how it would perform and if it could be outperformed! The task was to complete a set of sums that solved 5 numbers that were net figures, from a basket of only 30 numbers that could only be used once. How did it go? Well unfortunately ChatGPT wasn’t able to provide the exact solutions for the 5 numbers that I was looking for and I still needed to complete the task manually.

It did provide a vast amount of combinations and alternatives, within a timeframe that was shorter than typing the question in! Back to work!!
