Are you behind in lodging your tax returns?

As tax agents, we can help you to get up to date with your lodgement obligations.

Whilst lodgement of a tax return is usually required by October 31, tax agents are allowed an extension of time to lodge.

Late lodgement penalties can be applied if you fail to lodge a return on time. The ATO will warn you by phone or in writing (this could be to your MyGov account) that a document is overdue, and a penalty notice will be sent to you stating the amount and due date of the penalty.

Generally, a penalty is not applied in isolated cases of late lodgement. If penalties are applied and the delay in lodgement was due to circumstances outside the taxpayer’s control (e.g. natural disaster or serious illness), we can submit a request on your behalf for remission in part or in full.
